Ironwood String Quartet

Ironwood is Ottawa’s new “take-no-prisoners” string quartet made up of Jessica Linnebach and Carissa Klopoushak (violins), Julia MacLaine (cello), and David Marks (viola), a quartet of curious musicians who spend most (but not all) of their musical time playing with the National Arts Centre Orchestra.

The group was born out of the National Arts Centre’s WolfGANG Sessions, which mixes contemporary and indie classical with exciting collaborations between NAC Orchestra musicians, video projection artists and DJs. Discover more:
